INFECT3D await UK’s based legendary hard dance DJ/Producer/Promoter and Tranzlation label owner dj Phil York. If there is one artist from the harder scene that can cross over to different scenes it has to be Phil York. His Stage Presence has to be seen to be believed as his technical ability and outstanding sets always deliver. His approach to DJing is a refreshingly simple ethos that never fails to hit its target and plays tunes like he's your Desert Island DJ "If you had to choose one DJ to take with you, who would it be?” It wasn't long before Phil rose to become a global headliner in his own right thanks to innovative boundary pushing productions that have appeared on labels like Tidy, Voltswagon and Masif. In a nutshell if it’s a stomping sound that's makes you move then Phil's got it. In addition to our main headline act INFECT3D welcome back one of Irelands rising stars Andy Richmond. Andy is no stranger to Infect3d nights had has certainly left his mark on all our Infectees and has also played a major part in the harder side of the scene for over the years. Last year alone Andy’s made Irish resident with two of the World’s leading events Tidy and Slinky. Andy’s a firm favourite for any line up from all aspects of the harder edge sound, more recently pushing his tech dance sound..

It's an independent outlet which caters for all genres and all tastes, offering a quality product to its customer, without hitting the pocket! Over the coming months, they will be adding some of your favourite DJ’s, Clubbing Brands and Record Labels Merchandise, with some exclusive and numbered, limited edition designs that can be found nowhere else on the tinterweb! Featuring these alongside some of the latest fashion trends and some quality individual designers work, means we are likely to have something a little different to ensure you stand out in the crowd. » We speak to Darren Rice ahead of Planetlove tomorrow, 6th June |
Jun 06, 2009 - 12:13 AM - by MidLifeCrisis
|
After 9 years hard slog & countless bottles of bleach, Darren Rice is now a familiar name on the Irish dance scene with appearances at numerous clubs & club nights throughout the country. The infamous Clubspace/Lamberts in Wexford, Revolution, Acii Disco, Panama Jacks, South, Exile, Gatecrasher, Meganite, Godskitchen & the now legendary Temple Theatre in Dublin have all featured in a by now, pretty coloured gigography. It all started for Rice when he was 17 & he won a national DJ competition on 2FM for an appearance at that year’s Creamfields festival, simultaneously bagging a residency at Clubspace in Wexford where he was a regular punter. The live broadcast of the Creamfields set & his subsequent appearances on the national broadcaster 2FM as both a DJ & track reviewer alerted promoters nationwide to his talents, which in turn led to gigs up & down the country whilst still at a very young age. He quickly earned a reputation as a reliable & versatile DJ, capable of warming up a room perfectly or rocking the headline slot, an attribute which soon brought bookings for further festival appearances like Godskitchens Global Gathering, Hi-Fi & Planet Love. Currently he presents ‘The Saturday Selection’ weekly @ 10pm on ‘Beat 102-103′, broadcasting the latest tracks & mixes all over Wexford, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny & Tipperary. We decided to catch up with Darren ahead of his appearance at Planetlove 2009..
